Position: Sales Representative

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Based on Experience + Commission

Responsibilities:

This position will focus on developing incremental sales from new and existing accounts located in the sales geography. Most importantly, our Sales Representatives are responsible for growing their market share in a profitable yet safe, ethical, and environmentally conscious manner. You will work closely with strategic supplier partners as well a Duro-Chrome’s office staff and plating technicians.

Travel may be possible to grow your sales territory. Please note that during the current Covid pandemic, travel will be temporarily limited and you will be expected to perform many of your responsibilities either remotely or at Duro-Chrome’s office.

Essential Job Function

  • Maintain relationships; establish plans for the retention and subsequent growth, of assigned customers in the sales territory.
  • Prospect for new customers and cold call prospective customers to solicit new business.
  • Communicate effectively with the office team to ensure outstanding customer support.
  • Develop technical expertise and knowledge of the chrome plating process and other strategic products.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets while maintaining acceptable gross profit levels.
  • Develop multi-level/discipline business relations at customer accounts.
  • Manage resolution of customer-related issues.
  • Provide market information and feedback as required.
  • Additional or more specific job duties to be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently, seek guidance when needed, and demonstrate honesty and integrity.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to calculate figures and amounts (e.g. discounts, margins, percentages, etc.).
  • Effective time & resource management, adept at managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Experience with Lotus Notes a plus.
  • Communication skills – must be articulate both in written and oral skills and must possess excellent negotiation skills and be able to build strong relationships.
  • Must be customer-focused with a willingness to go the extra mile for the achievement of business objectives.
  • Prior experience in electroplating, manufacturing, engineering, or the tool and die industry a plus.
  • The candidate must be a self-starter, results-oriented and a strong team player with the drive to grow a territory teeming with potential.
  • Must possess a sense of urgency in responding to customer inquiries/requests.
  • Strong critical thinking/troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude to be an engaged team player.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.in marketing, sales, or business) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience; and one to two years related experience and/or training. OR 5+ years of Sales Rep experience.
