A Leader in the Metal Finishing Industry Since 1926.
Founded by John G. Hall, the company began chrome plating tin cans and components for the booming electrical industry. During World War II, Duro-Chrome plated military weapon components for the United States Army and its defense contractors.
34 years ago, the company was sold to Vince Sabella and Margo Garcia. They started at a modest location in Franklin Park, Illinois. Margo had been chrome plating at the start of his career for the region’s top platers before setting off on his own with Vince. Vince brought many years of mold polishing expertise after working at the largest mold polishing company in the country.
Vince and Margo quickly grew Duro-Chrome due to their unyielding passion for problem solving, high-quality customer service and metal artistry, moving the business beyond metal polishing. Today, Duro-Chrome offers the most advanced coatings, finishing and grinding solutions for customers across the U.S., Canada and Costa Rica and also services a wide variety of industries, including plastics, metals, roofing, food and more.
